A damaged exhaust is loud, smells bad, and keeps your check engine light on — which means you'll fail Drive Clean if Ontario ever brings emissions testing back. Beyond that, an exhaust leak in the wrong place can push fumes into the cabin. It's not something to ignore.

Most exhaust work is done from underneath the car — perfect for mobile repair. I bring proper jack stands, penetrating oil for seized hardware, and the right parts for your vehicle.

What I Repair

Catalytic Converter

Failed cat triggering P0420 or P0430 codes? Replaced with CARB-compliant units. Toyota catalytic converters are among the most stolen in the GTA — if yours was taken off, I come to you for the replacement.

$500–$1,500

Muffler

Rusted through, rattling, or just embarrassingly loud. Replaced with OEM-equivalent or an upgraded unit if you want it quieter or slightly more aggressive. Your call.

$250–$500

Exhaust Manifold

Subaru exhaust manifold studs snap — it's a design flaw from the factory. If you have a cracking/ticking sound from your Subaru under hard acceleration, that's likely it. Cracked manifolds on any vehicle get replaced with proper gaskets.

$300–$800

O2 Sensors

Upstream and downstream oxygen sensors — causing check engine codes and poor fuel economy. Honda flex pipes on older Civics and Accords crack right where the flex section meets the pipe. It's a loud exhaust leak near the engine that I see constantly.

$150–$350

Flex Pipe

The flex pipe absorbs engine movement. When it cracks, you get a loud exhaust leak right under the engine bay. Sounds like a small engine with no muffler. Very common on high-mileage Hondas.

$200–$400

Exhaust Hangers / Clamps

Rattling or dragging exhaust that's otherwise intact? Usually a broken rubber hanger or a loose clamp. The quickest and cheapest exhaust fix there is.

$50–$150

Why Mobile Exhaust Repair?

Exhaust work is done from underneath the car — which is exactly where mobile repair works. I jack it up safely, replace the component, and test it before I pack up. No muffler shop markup, no waiting in line.

Real Talk: Exhaust Repair

Catalytic converter replacement is one of the most overpriced jobs at shops. The part is expensive, but the labour is often 2–3 hours for a job that takes 45 minutes with the right tools and penetrating oil. I don't pad labour hours.

Subaru exhaust manifold stud extraction is something a lot of shops won't touch because broken studs are a pain. I deal with it — heat, extraction bits, and patience. Subaru Foresters and Outbacks from 2000–2009 are especially prone. Toyota catalytic converter theft has gotten out of hand in the GTA — Tacoma, 4Runner, and Prius are the most targeted. If yours was taken, call me and I'll get a replacement fitted same day or next day. Honda flex pipes on first and second generation CR-Vs and Accords: if you hear a loud exhaust leak from the front of the car, check the flex pipe before assuming the manifold is cracked.

A P0420 code doesn't automatically mean a new catalytic converter. It can be a failing O2 sensor triggering a false reading. I diagnose before recommending the expensive fix.
